Hume Sweet Hume were recently invited to participate in the  fashion show during the ‘In The Loop’ Conference at Glasgow University. These beautiful models have added a new twist as to how our products can be worn. We love the styling! Cushion, cushions everywhere and not a place to sit…… Hume Sweet Hume began with cushions. ‘From our home’…….where in the beginning they lined the hallway, covered the kitchen table and filled the sitting room. Don’t tell but today is her Birthday 😀  shhhhhh We would like to take a moment to say thank you! From the early days of business when our hub was my home, a bedroom was our office, the hall was a yarn store and the kitchen table was for knitting machines, sewing machines and all things not kitchen……..  she was there to assist, never needed to be asked twice,  providing care, roast dinners, laundry service and unconditional love for us all. We are the Hume sisters, Lizza (me – left) and Jenna (her – right) and we live and work on our Island home of Westray in the Orkney Islands (located in the top right corner of the weather map in a box just below The Shetland Islands) in other words………. on the Hume Sweet Hume is our Knitwear design business, and  from our workshop which is situated in the village of Pierowall, We design and knit clothes and accessories ‘for you and your home’. Having completed our Art degrees we both felt a strong pull to return to our island roots....
