Designed for meaningful moments, this pair of Vervain beakers celebrates connection through thoughtful craftsmanship. Each beaker features a unique hand-etched pattern, one adorned with vertical lines, the other with circular motifs, creating a playful visual dialogue. The tactile ceramic form nestles comfortably in your hands, with substantial weight that transforms everyday tea and coffee into intentional rituals. Inside, a smooth off-white glaze frames a subtle Kindred emblem stamped at the base, a gentle nod to the beauty of sharing real moments together.
How It's Made
Our knitwear is created in our workshop in Westray and also in the homes of our many out workers. The pieces are knitted on domestic knitting machines and completed by linking or grafting by hand.
We are always mindful of the current trends. We visit shows annually, for inspiration and research to keep us up to date with current trends. This is also important for us, it maintains our motivation and our creative interests. It stops us standing still and constantly give us new and interesting challenges.
Our Inspiration
We are proud of our roots and have worked hard over the years to establish our brand with these values at the core of our work, drawing inspiration from soft muted tones and textures derived from the sky, sea and landscape of our home.
Our aim is to create classic garments with lasting appeal, ponchos, jackets, jumpers, snoods, wraps, wrist warmers and hats, timeless garments that can be worn year after year, evoking memories of our heritage and the people of our islands
We also take pride in our Nordic connection, which heavily influences the colours, styles and shapes of our products. Using natural and luxury yarns, we aim to create products which, whilst reflective of our island home, are equally at home anywhere in the world.
